The night sky over Orlando bursts with color and light on the 3rd and 4th of July every year, and 2019 will be no different. Celebrating the independence of our country is a holiday in and of itself but Central Florida loves to show its love for the good old USA in full-spectrum style. I hereby declare these following events worthy of a true July 4th 2019 blowout.

Walt Disney World

Magic Kingdom

Bring the family to experience “A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” where the Magic Kingdom commemorates Independence Day with a spectacular fireworks display choreographed to patriotic music. This event will take place on both July 3 and July 4 at 9:15 p.m.

Epcot

“IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” will end its nearly 20-year run in September so this will be the last chance to experience their Fourth of July grand finale of this nighttime spectacular. This year’s theme, “The Heartbeat of Freedom” fireworks extravaganza will begin directly after the IllumiNations show. During the day, you can meet your favorite Disney characters wearing their “Spirit of 76” patriotic attire at The American Adventure

Universal Studios Florida

From July 4th through the 6th, Universal Studios will feature award-winning DJ M-Squared blazing today’s hits along with a live performance by the high-energy band, Raydio at the Music Plaza Stage. Festivities start at 5 p.m. and you’ll be joined by stilt walkers and your favorite Universal characters! And, of course, enjoy breathtaking pyrotechnics complete with confetti cannons starting at 9 p.m

SeaWorld

On 4th of July this year, you and your family can enjoy one of Orlando’s most magnificent celebratory displays with lasers, pyrotechnics and fireworks during a patriotic finale to their new end-of-day spectacular, “Ignite.” The best views are from Bayside Stadium and it is a show you shouldn’t miss.

Not Going to the Parks?

If you don’t want to be at one of the parks for the holiday, head to Crane’s Roost Park in Altamonte Springs for Red Hot & Boom, an annual tradition that is famous here in O-town. If you want an authentic Orlando Fourth experience this one’s for you. Join the locals for live performances, a plethora of food vendors and synchronized fireworks. NOTE: This event is held on July 3rd—which leaves you free to celebrate all over again the next day! Festivities start at 4 and end at 11 p.m., rain or shine.

Downtown in the City Beautiful

Another July 4th tradition in Central Florida is a fireworks celebration in the heart of our fetching downtown area. Pack the family up and head to the iconic Lake Eola to experience a wonderful nighttime exhibition. I can vouch for this one because I watch it every year from my own backyard. Happy Independence Day!
