Reptile Smile

Enjoy family fun at "The Alligator Capital of the World." You'll see alligators and crocodiles of all sizes, from babies to 14-foot monsters. There's also a free-flight aviary, a petting zoo, one-of-a-kind animal shows, zip line rides and the new Stompin' Gator Off-Road Adventure to make sure your family has a day filled with fun, smiles and special memories.

Screamin' Gator Zip Line

I have a feeling it's not the gators who will be screaming as you launch from heights of up to 65 feet. Soar across five intense zip lines and carefully cross a swinging bridge over the park's main walkway. Keep your eyes open as you fly over alligators and crocodiles at speeds close to 30 miles per hour.

If you'd prefer a shorter version, try the Gator Gauntlet where you'll glide 350 feet over the Alligator Breeding Marsh, complete with about 130 giant alligators watching (hungrily?) from below. Pretty much anyone can experience this ride on the wild side because it's wheelchair accessible.

Gator Jumparoo Show

Learn about crocs and gators, and witness their incredible power. This one-of-a-kind show offers delightful thrills as some of the world's largest alligators jump four feet or more out of the water. A must-see for the entire family.

Gator Wrestlin'

When I try to give my dog a bath, I liken it to " wrestling a alligator," but this is the real deal. Gatorland offers a unique alligator wrestling show where gator wranglers catch a 6- to 8-foot alligator by hand, climb onto its back and point out interesting survival features. Afterwards, the alligator is rolled over and "put to sleep" and then awakened by a tickle. Gator ticklin'? Don't miss out.

Up-Close Encounters

Because who doesn't love to be face-to-face with venomous snakes? There are also scorpions, toads and lizards...oh my! Check out the Up-Close Encounters Show to meet and learn about their collection of critters. If you prefer animals of the 4-legged fur variety, stop by and visit Neiko and Lucy—stunning siblings that are a cross between an extremely rare and endangered Florida Panther and a Texas Cougar. Born at a Florida rescue and rehabilitation facility and raised by a loving conservationist, they came to Gatorland to help educate visitors about the importance of protecting the two species.

Birds of a Feather

Gatorland is a paradise for bird lovers. Meet exotic Amazon Parrots, Blue and Gold Macaws and Cockatoos at the Parrot Playground. Then head to the Very Merry Aviary, a free-flight enclosure, and hang out with hundreds of Budgies. You can even feed them with a birdseed stick as they perch on your shoulder, which always makes for magical photographs. Visit Athena, the beautiful Great Horned Owl and the Emu enclosure. And Flamingos. Find these fabulous Florida favorites—wading around on their very own Flamingo Island, complete with beautiful white Wood Storks.

There are so many exciting, memorable things to do at Gatorland. They also have a restaurant (gator bites, anyone?) and a couple of snack shops so you can refresh yourself before going on to the next great adventure.
