Can you believe it? Thanksgiving is right around the corner...again. Time really flies and once we realize how quickly it passes, we fully understand the need to celebrate these holidays with loved ones. It’s important to spend quality time with friends and family that we may not see again until the next season of holidays rolls around.
Central Florida is a perfect destination to enjoy autumn and winter celebrations. Our weather is ideal. Having turkey and all the fixings outdoors is an absolute treat. How does a post-dinner dip in your sparkling private pool this Thanksgiving sound? Then retreat to your private game room or living space that has a large TV to cheer on your favorite team or witness giant parade floats in their full glory! Take a stroll around beautiful grounds to walk off that early meal in anticipation of round two. Don't be coy, we all go back for seconds.
This holiday season, take advantage of having your entire family living in one luxury villa that offers enough space for everyone to enjoy each other’s company and yet retire to their own personal space for rest and relaxation. Here are three fun and very family-friendly spots to make a full day of your Thanksgiving holiday this year.
Celebrate with Mickey and His Pals at Animal Kingdom
Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World starts on November 8 and runs right through Thanksgiving Day (November 28). You and your family can enjoy festive new entertainment, spectacular decorations and your favorite Disney characters in seasonal settings, in every land throughout Disney’s magnificent Animal Kingdom.
A Blue Thanksgiving at Universal CityWalk
Sure, The Blue Man Group—a performance art trio known for its stage productions that incorporate music and art—perform pretty much every day of the year, but why not enjoy it on Thanksgiving Day to make the holiday a little extra? The whole family (3 years and up) can experience lights, color, music, technology, fun surprises and humor wrapped up in this high-energy spectacle performed at a state-of-the-art theater custom-built just for them. I went a few Thanksgivings ago and it was as mesmerizing as it is billed to be. Fantastic!
Disney Springs Thanksgiving Celebrations
Disney Springs, dare I say, is to Walt Disney World what CityWalk is to Universal Studios. You can shop, dine and get involved in lots of fun happenings. A few of the restaurants will have special Thanksgiving menus this year including Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex, and Planet Hollywood Observatory. It’s a fun place to spend the day anyway, but you can make it extra special for the whole family on Thanksgiving Day 2019.
Since your Orlando luxury vacation villa is located close to the major theme parks, all of these spots are just an easy drive away. Spend a full day at one of these entertainment attractions then head home for a comfortable night of rest and relaxation...just enough for your next day’s adventures.
