Valentine's Day in Orlando 2019

February is the month of love...no matter where you are. But here in Central Florida...it’s most likely a heck of a lot warmer than where you came from and that is what we locals love. If you are visiting our City Beautiful during this short and sweet month, here are a few ideas of how to best enjoy your Valentine’s Day 2019. Also, check out Orlando events websites and our local newspapers for restaurants, specials, and other V Day ideas.
Enzian Theater (Winter Park)
It may be a bit of a drive from your luxury villa, but for a special V Day treat, the Enzian Theater is worth the ride. The Enzian is an alternative single-screen cinema cafe that offers mostly indie and foreign films as well as a fun fusion of delicious food and beverages. Personally, I love dining while watching a good movie in a cozy theater. You can enjoy a cocktail outside first at their legendary Eden Bar. On February 14th, the Enzian offers a dinner buffet, live music, the film (this year it is Love Actually) and a complimentary glass of champagne. Feeling VIP? For a little more mula, you’ll get a reserved table, commemorative gift bag and a bottle of champagne. Because who wants a glass when you can have a bottle? Check out their website for information, and a full menu of their movies and more.
You will most likely go to Disney Springs during your vacation anyway so, while you’re there, be sure to stop in one of the sweet shops like Candy Cauldron. There are a plethora of delectable treats to choose from and may I suggest a caramel apple—any which one of them will do. Love marshmallow, pretzels, mint, fudge, toffee, cookies, nuts, cotton candy, lollipops, and the like? You’re in luck. There is also a wall of candy-coated chocolates in a rainbow of colors you can bag yourself. Sure you can enjoy these all year long but on Valentines Day, guilt is not a factor.
If you prefer a more private V Day, head to Amorette’s Patisserie (love is in the name) and fall in love all over again. Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy all have adorable signature cakes you can take back to your villa. Share this special day with your loved ones as well as your favorite Disney characters and make your Orlando Valentine’s Day one to remember.
Bounce your way into your lovers heart with a super exciting Orlando Magic game. Ok, you may think a basketball game has the romance of, well, a basketball game. But add a tasty foot-long with mustard and jalapenos, and a Magic cup full of amber goodness to the combination of lights, music, dance, rabid Magic fans (a club of which I am a member), and world-class action, and you’ve got yourselves a good old-fashioned Valentine’s Day night out. Throughout the month of February, the Magic take on a variety of animals, royalty, winged creatures, weather conditions and car parts but on the 14th, the Charlotte Hornets are here and will feel the sting. Plus, there’s a kiss cam.
