Autumn Events in Orlando

Here are a few ideas that your family can enjoy on your Central Florida fall vacation. LEGOLAND has a very fun Halloween party, and Kennedy Space Center and Southern Hill Farms offer off-the-beaten-path treats that remove you from theme park crowds and put you in touch with some of Central Florida’s more unique attractions.

LEGOLAND Brick or Treat

The Halloween party “built for kids” is returning to LEGOLAND. New this year, a pair of curious trick-or-treaters will sing and dance their way through a new live-action show, “A Candy-Coated Curse” on the LEGO City Stage. Also, making her Brick or Treat debut, LEGO Spider Lady will be weaving webs of fun inside LEGO Kingdoms.

Here is an extra treat: you don’t need to purchase an extra ticket to enjoy the new stage show or the loads of candy you’ll gather along a uniquely LEGO trick-or-treating trail, or for the interactive character meet n’ greet experiences. Also, except for Wednesday, October 31, each Brick or Treat date will finish off with a ghostly show and a Halloween fireworks spectacular best enjoyed while wearing complimentary viewing glasses for a wonderful LEGO twist. Weekends starting October 6 through Wednesday, October 31.

Meet an Astronaut at KSCVC

Each day, right up until the end of 2018, at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, you have the rare opportunity to meet veteran NASA astronauts. During their Astronaut Encounter, commanders, pilots, mission and payload specialists who have lived and worked IN SPACE share their experiences during a live presentation and then a question and answer session. You can shake hands and take photos with one of the few who have traveled into space. I traveled to California a few months back and thought I was a big shot! Weekly until the end of the year.

Annual Fall Festival + Pumpkin Patch

Only about a half an hour drive from your luxury vacation villa is Southern Hill Farms. This family farm is holding its 3rd Annual Fall Festival + Pumpkin Patch. Their one-of-a-kind pumpkin patch and festival will begin on Saturday, October 6 and will go on every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through October 28.

Enjoy live music, food trucks, local craft beer, wine and mimosas (for the over 21s, of course), a pumpkin patch, hayrides around the farm, unique handmade products, hand-poured candles, honey and maple syrup, and other Southern Hill Farms merchandise. Sample the farm’s famous apple cider, hot apple cider donuts, blueberry cobbler, pumpkin muffins and more treats from their charming vintage Airstream bakery. There is a covered playground for the kids and yard games as well. How does a festive game of life-sized Jenga, bean bag toss or Connect Four sound?

When you are all theme parked out, relax in fresh autumn air with the family on a Florida farm. They have a petting zoo, rock wall, festival rides for all ages, face painting, a bounce house and everything else you need to make your fall family outing fun and memorable. Admission is $10 per vehicle, per day, with no limit to the amount of passengers in the vehicle. Weekends throughout October.
