Easter Events 2019

Easter is a special holiday everywhere, but here in Central Florida, it’s egg-stra wonderful. You can combine Easter (or Pesach) festivities with arguably the area’s best month of weather. April’s climate is superb and spring is in the air. If you have not booked your Easter break luxury villa, you’d better hop to it. It’s a popular time to be in Orlando and here are a few ideas for you and your family to enjoy on and around the holiday.

Walt Disney World

The Easter Bunny and his wife, Mrs. Bunny, (He’s married? Who knew?) visit Walt Disney World every Easter for a bit relaxation in the days leading up to Easter’s annual holiday basket delivery. The Bunnies, (as they’re known to friends) who have spent most of their year painting eggs and stocking up on jelly beans, will hold a meet and greet at the Magic Kingdom. They will also be featured in the annual Easter procession. Eggs-act dates have not yet been announced but I’ll make sure to keep you posted in a future blog.

Epcot Egg-Stavaganza Scavenger Hunt

Participate in this popular scavenger hunt that has your family scampering around the World Showcase in search of Disney character-themed eggs. Buy a map and stickers to help your search. Once you’ve completed the map, you can return it for a special surprise. Then, stop by the Heritage Garden for a photo op with the Easter Bunny. It’s totally egg-cellent! April 5 – April 21.

Easter Eggstravaganza at Florida Mall

Hidden eggs are waiting for you and your kids to come and find! The Florida Mall hosts the Easter Bunny every year and it’s a fun time for people of all ages. Combine the event with dining and shopping. April 13 from 10 AM to Noon in the Play Park area.

The Mall at Millenia

Kids of all ages can meet the Easter Bunny plus get a complimentary gift. You can take your own photos or opt for a professional photo package. The Mall at Millenia contains both fast- fashion and upscale shopping and plenty of dining options so you and your family can make a day of it. March 30 – April 20.

Easter Weekend Open House at The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art

This popular event is one of several Open House Weekends hosted by this acclaimed museum in Winter Park, located about 20 minutes from downtown Orlando. The Morse Museum is also home to the world’s largest collection of works by Louis Comfort Tiffany (the lamp guy). Spend the day strolling along beautiful Park Avenue which is brimming with high-end shopping and dining. April 19 – 21.

Easter-Spring Eggstravaganza

Firstly, I apologize if you’re tired of the overuse of the egg puns. Enjoy quality family time at the Florida Technical College campus in Kissimmee, not a far drive from your luxury vacation villa. Participate in their Easter egg hunt, an Easter basket raffle for kids of all ages, and photo ops with the Easter Bunny himself. Mrs. Bunny will not attend, apparently. Saturday, April 13 from 10 AM to 2 PM.
