February Events in Orlando 2020

There are a lot of fantastic and diverse events happening in February. This is also pretty much our “coldest” month so whatever you do, remember to dress in layers to stay comfortable. Here is a small sampling of the many things going on here in beautiful Orlando.
Mardi Gras at Universal Studios
Enjoy nightly parades with outrageous street performers, colorful costumes and beads galore. Check out some of the biggest names in music live in concert on select nights and indulge in authentic Cajun food and New Orleans bands each night. It’s just as good as being in the French Quarter. Mardi Gras 2020 runs February 1 through April 2.
Orlando Wine Festival
Make “pour” decisions at the 3rd Annual Orlando Wine Festival benefiting the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. It will be held this year at ICON Park, home of The Wheel on International Drive. Expect more than 35 vineyards/wineries featuring 100+ wines to sample, a Rosé Garden, wine classes, themed photo booths and, of course, the Pet Adoption Puppy Park! Saturday February 15.
Gabriel Iglesias
If you’re looking for a good chuckle, Gabriel Iglesias is out on the road with his Beyond The Fluffy World Tour—Go Big Or Go Home tour at Amway Arena in downtown Orlando on February 19.
In The Raw
In the mood to try something different? Nude Nite—a multi-sensory, body-themed immersive pop-up art experience—is back for the 15th year. Experience this renowned art party with over 200 of the best nude artworks for sale by artists from around the country. Enjoy burlesque stage shows, body painting, interactive installations, performance artists, acrobats, aerialists and more. Three bars, gourmet food and DJ music round out an interesting and titillating exhibition. 21 and up. Central Florida Fairgrounds. Thursday, February 13 through Saturday, February 15.
Black Violin
This band is lead by classically trained string players Wil B. (viola) and Kev Marcus (violin), and joined onstage by DJ SPS and drummer Nat Stokes. Black Violin’s music is a unique blend of classical and hip-hop music. Their most recent album, Stereotypes, hit #1 on Billboard’s Classical Crossover chart. See them live at the Dr. Phillips Center in downtown Orlando on Saturday, February 8.
Spamilton: An American Parody
According to The Huffington Post, “You don’t have to see Hamilton to have side-splitting fun at Spamilton.” But, if you liked Hamilton, you’ll love Spamilton: An American Parody. This “convulsively funny” (NY Times) parody brings a singing, dancing, comedy revolution to the stage. Dr. Phillips Center running February 25 through March 5.
Willie Nelson & Family
February is a busy month at the Dr. Phillips Center. The legendary Willie Nelson performs there on Friday, February 21. With his 6-decade career and 200+ albums, this icon is the creative genius behind the classics Crazy, Red Headed Stranger, and Stardust. Willie Nelson has earned every conceivable award as a musician, and fame as an author, actor, and activist. And he’s phenomenal live. February 21, 2020.
