Sesame Street Land at SeaWorld Orlando

Sunny Day Sweepin’ the clouds away On my way to where the air is sweet Can you tell me how to get… How to get to Sesame Street?

Why, yes I can! Now, you and the kids are able to walk down the world-famous Sesame Street at SeaWorld Orlando. It’s the neighborhood where all your beloved furry friends live. Meet and play with Elmo, Abby, the Cookie Monster, Ernie and Bert, Grover and, everyone’s favorite, Big Bird. Explore Hooper’s Store and Elmo’s window to dance and sing with the characters! Start the day early with Count von Count’s Spooktacular Breakfast which features a delectable buffet to be enjoyed alongside your furry friends. You’ll also experience an award-winning parade as well as fun family-friendly rides.

Howl-O-Scream “20 Years of Fear” at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

If you did not get enough “scare” at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights (HHN), head over beautiful Busch Gardens Tampa Bay (BGTB) for a day of adventure and a night of fear. Howl-O-Scream is their answer to HHN and from my recollection, it’s dead fun. Pardon the pun. Also, all their world-class rides and attractions are open during H-O-S.

Haunted Houses

One of my favorite memories is hanging out at Howl-O-Scream (H-O-S) with my BFF. We were so scared and creeped out, we clung to each other screaming and laughing, which only made the terrifying monsters scare us more. If you, too, love the kind of fear that will last a lifetime, this is your place. Themes this year include Insomnia: Patients’ Revenge – Where every door in the asylum leads to your worst nightmare. Motel Hell: Infestation – The exterminator turns his noxious attacks on you. (You’ll really appreciate your luxury vacation villa when the night is through!) And Simon’s Slaughterhouse – By simply walking into the house, you’ve agreed to play along in Simon’s sick and twisted games. I don’t know who this Simon is but I’m down!

Scare Zones

New for this year’s Howl-O-Scream 20th anniversary: The horrors of H-O-S’s haunted past are bringing 2 decades of fear back to life. Little Nightmares – Take a creepy stroll down memory lane to the bygone era of paper-mache masks and moms homemade costumes certain to conjure up your childhood nightmares. Carpe Noctem – The eerie calm of this gothic Romanian cemetery explodes into the screams of vampires and the moans of their victims.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is also celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and part of the celebration is 52 Weeks of Events, so no matter when you go, there will be something special to experience. Also, BGTB has “launched” Florida’s tallest launch coaster! Called Tigris, this brand-new thrill ride will catapult you through an array of looping twists with forward and backward motion, heart-pounding drops, a 150-foot skyward surge, and an inverted heartline roll, all at more than 60 MPH. It’s 1,800 feet of steel track designed to copy the stealth and agility of a tiger. Thrill level – HIGH. Visit the Busch Gardens Tampa BayBusch Gardens Tampa Bay website for all the fantastic details.

After a long day at Orlando area theme parks, retreat to your luxury vacation rental like Fairway Ridge Deluxe to relax in comfort (in front of your Smart TV or in your inviting private pool) and rejuvenate yourselves for the next day’s adventures.
