2019 October Events in Orlando
October is a very interesting month here in Central Florida, event-wise. We’ve got Epcot’s International Food & Wine Fest, Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular including their Craft Beer Festival, and Brick or Treat at LEGOLAND Florida all going on during this transitional month. This gives you a slew of adventure choices for your family on your Orlando-area vacation. And we’ve got cooler temperatures in which to enjoy all these phenomenal experiences. Hurrah!
Brick-or-Treat at LEGOLAND Florida
The Brick or Treat event runs from October 5 – October 27 this year and a few of the highlights include The Brick-or-Treat Trail where your little ones can walk along the themed trail with their Brick-or-Treat bag to collect candy, meet Halloween-exclusive LEGO characters including Rockin’ Frankenstein and Lord Vampyre, enjoy the Tale of Pirates’ Cove Fireworks Spectacular where, on Brick-or-Treat nights, fireworks transform into LEGO bricks, and participate in the Brick-or-Treat Scavenger Hunt to find the LEGO Candy Corn. Included in park admission.
Peppa Pig Live!
If your kids love Peppa, you’re in luck! Peppa Pig Live! comes to Orlando with the all-new, action-packed live show featuring your favorite characters as life-size puppets and costume characters. Watch Peppa and her friends George, Pedro Pony, Suzy Sheep, and Gerald Giraffe as they embark on an exciting camping trip to the woods. This show is full of singing, dancing, games, and surprises! One night only: Thursday, October 3 at Hard Rock Live Orlando.
For the arts and culture enthusiasts in your family, IMMERSE 2019 is the event for you. This annual performing and interactive arts experience takes place every October in the streets and spaces of beautiful downtown Orlando. This year it features more than 1,000 artists from more than 100 arts organizations and artist collectives. Wonder at Diavolo and the Architects of Air. And the ever-popular Blue Man Group – the international entertainment phenomenon that celebrates the power of human connection through art, music, and comedy – will be the highlight of the event on Saturday. Runs Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19. Admission varies.
Orlando Film Festival
The Orlando Film Festival (OFF) returns again this year at the state-of-the-art Cobb Plaza Cinema Cafe in beautiful downtown Orlando. Not only can you watch quality independent cinema, but you will also get an immersive experience full of script reads, panel discussions, lively Q&A sessions, and parties. MovieMaker Magazine named the OFF one of the “Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World.” It runs from October 17 – October 24. Admission varies.
27th Annual Biketoberfest
Calling all motorcycle lovers! Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach (about an hour and a half drive from your luxury vacation home) is a motor-revving, hog-wild weekend that attracts more than 125,000 motorcycle enthusiasts from all over. Enjoy rides, concerts, food and fun! Biketoberfest runs October 17 – October 20. Free admission.
Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld Orlando
Dine on a wide array of dishes from around the world and sip craft beer and other creative beverages at this food-focused festival. This event also offers live performances from top names in music and, of course, your favorite marine mammals. Through April 15.
