Orlando March Events 2020
March is a fantastic month to hang out and enjoy Central Florida to the fullest. It’s one of our best months, weather-wise, with temperatures averaging somewhere around a perfect 79 degrees with sunshine galore. Spring fills the air and flowers start to bloom (I had blooms all winter this year) and everything that didn’t blossom, turns verdant and vivid once again. Here are a few events you and your family can enjoy on your Spring Break Orlando area vacation.
Caribbean Festival
The Caribbean Festival is an annual Spring Break tradition, featuring the best of Caribbean food, music and arts & crafts as well as excursions and fair rides. Enjoy a day of Reggae, Soca, Kompa, Dancehall music and much more. This joyous event will happen at Camping World Stadium in downtown Orlando. Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 11:59 PM (they’re not wasting one doggone minute!).
Amway Center March Music and More
Our beautiful Amway Center (home of the Magic!) located in downtown Orlando is the place to be for major live acts and in the month of March we’ve got some top-notch talent headed our way! On March 8, Latin superstar (Orlando loves him) Marc Anthony will perform. On the 10th, young phenom Billie Eilish brings her very popular emo-noir sound and I, for one, am here for it. For Classical lovers, André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra will delight you on March 14th. And if you are looking to laugh, Martin Lawrence is out on the road with several other comedians on their Lit AF tour coming to the Amway on March 13. And then, of course, you can chill out at a Solar Bears hockey game or cheer on our beloved Orlando Magic. In March, we meet The Bulls, The Hornets, The Cavs…and win or lose, it’s always a super fun time.
More March Music
One of the best-selling artists of our time, jazz saxophonist Kenny G will play at the vintage, intimate Plaza Live near downtown Orlando on March 11 and Bruce Hornsby (without The Range) plays the venue on the 26th.
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival
This annual event is just blooming with color and fun for the entire family. Epcot blossoms with springtime activities, cuisines and music. If you are in Central Florida between March 4 and June 1, this is a not-to-be-missed event. I’ll have an entire separate blog here with all the information and details. Stay tuned!
Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando
March is still party month Universal Orlando. Mardi Gras is the mother of all parties with colorful street performers, Cajun cuisine, awesome live music and lively parades that continue throughout the month of March until April 2.
There is so much to enjoy here in Central Florida this spring. You are not limited to indoor events. Nature is beginning to bloom (so far this year we’ve had a very mild winter and an early spring) and you can enjoy the simple, free things the Orlando area has to offer: walks, hikes, bicycling, picnicking and more. Start the grill and BBQ lunch out by your own private pool. Spend a relaxing day (or two) in your spacious luxury vacation villa with loved ones. That’s what your vacation is all about.
