New Attractions at Walt Disney World

Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, Hollywood Studios

This new spectacular will be a real departure from Cirque’s former shows. It will based on some of Disney’s most iconic films, drawing its inspiration from Disney’s heritage of animation. Opening date TBA.
Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, Hollywood Studios

Wonderful World of Animation, Hollywood Studios
This exciting nighttime projection show opened earlier this month and it takes you and your children on an incredible journey through more than 90 years of Disney and Pixar animation. Watch as the façade of the Chinese Theatre is magically transformed to display a moving tribute to animation and enjoy colorful sequences celebrating themes like magic, adventure, family, friendship and romance. Each theme is brought to life through memorable moments from beloved films such as Sleeping Beauty, Coco, The Incredibles and many more. Of course, this show begins and ends with memories of the real star of WDW, Mickey Mouse. A classic! Now open

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Hollywood Studios
Films and Restaurants, Epcot
Coming soon: a new restaurant in Japan, new films in Canada and China, a Crêperie hybrid restaurant and a Beauty and the Beast Singalong in France.
A Celebration of Diney Music, Epcot
This new nighttime entertainment offering will show how Disney music inspires people around the globe, and will feature large floating set pieces, custom-built LED panels, kites with special effects, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics, and lasers. This will replace IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. Opens in 2020.

Guardians of the Galaxy Future World Ride, Epcot
The NBA Experience, Disney Springs
When you enter the NBA Experience, you’ll feel as if you’re walking through the players’ tunnel at a sports arena! A ticket to NBA Experience is all-inclusive, and allows you to access every activity inside this exciting entertainment complex. Opens August 12.
Future World Space Restaurant, Epcot
This cool new eating establishment will feature special “windows” that simulate views of the galaxy as you “travel high above the earth” during your meal. Sounds awesome! Opening date TBA.
