Skeletons: Museum of Osteology
Located under the Wheel in downtown Orlando, the Skeletons: Museum of Osteology is an incredible family-owned museum that showcases the diversity of the animal kingdom using over 500 real animal skeletons and over 40 exhibits on display. It is one of only two such museums in the country and the first of its kind in the Orlando area.
A Fascinating Exploration of Bones and More
The Skeletons: Museum of Osteology began with founder Jay Villemarette’s passion for collecting skulls, which began with a chance encounter upon a dog skull in the woods when he was 7 years old. Beyond the museum’s year-round display of amazing skeletons, Skeletons: Museum of Osteology also hosts fun-filled events designed to educated and entertain visitors. Some events include admission discounts while others bring in top experts in the fields of health, anthropology, and even law enforcement for insight into how the study of skeletons contributes to our society as a whole. If you happen to plan your Orlando vacation in time to catch one of the museum’s spectacular events, it can make for a fun and educational family-friendly outing during your stay!
Admission prices for Skeletons: Museum of Osteology is set at $12.99 per child and $19.99 per adult.
