Top Arcades on I-Drive

What would you consider the next best thing to Orlando’s world-class theme parks? How about full-service arcades! Imagine the fun of a theme park but with fewer crowds and mostly every game is indoors *read: air conditioning. Plus, at the following venues, you can spend a day of quality time playing games, enjoying a meal or snack and just hanging out. Here are a few lively arcades where you and the family can take a day off from the hustle and bustle of the parks but still have an exhilarating time. All of them are located along International Drive in Orlando not a far drive from your luxury vacation villa.

Main Event Orlando

This venue offers a 20-lane, state-of-the-art bowling alley, a high ropes adventure course, laser tag, video games, rock climbing, billiards, big screens, karaoke, mini golf, and the first U.S. free-roam, multiplayer virtual reality game. They also feature a full-service bar and restaurant that serves up a wide variety of American standards and classics. The dessert menu looks good enough to eat! Sure it does…this place caters to the little ones and what’s a day of excitement without ice cream, donut holes or warm chocolate chip skillet cookies? Shut up and take my money!

Putting Edge Orlando

“Escape the Ordinary, An Experience Like No Other” is the tagline for Putting Edge Orlando. The website mentions that it’s a place to play glow-in-the-dark mini golf. They also allude to their arcade where “you are dazzled with a combination of activity, color, sights and sounds.” It’s a “socially interactive environment where friends and family can take a break from reality”. They serve light snacks and beverages (non-alcoholic) and cater to those from “8 to 88.” Why so many quotes? The website keeps the adventures vague but I think it sounds pretty intriguing…for a fun night out doing something a little out of the ordinary.

Dave & Buster’s

You knew I’d include this place! I’ll keep the description short and sweet since most likely you’ve been to a Dave & Buster’s before. Billiards, bowling, Dance Dance Revolution A, and of course, games, games and more games. (I can wipe the floor with my friends at the Galaga console…just saying.) And when you’ve won enough tickets to wrap them around the entire building, sit down for your favorite Americana dish and libation. Exhaust the kids, and yourself, at this very fun, lively entertainment venue. A fun time for everyone!
